Partner, Executive Producer, Principal Citizen Kids

In addition to being a partner in Citizen Skull Productions and developing scripted, unscripted and documentary projects, Heather Kenyon is the principal of its children’s media and animation division, Citizen Kids.  Keep an eye out for “Deepa and Anoop” that’s coming to Netflix!

Previously, she was Vice-President, Project Development & Sales, at Starz Animation Toronto, producer of such films as Focus Features' 9 and Elton John's Gnomeo and Juliet.  Representing this high-end CGI studio, she was responsible for development, as well as seeking out co-production and co-venture opportunities and financing.  

From 2003 until 2008, Heather worked at Cartoon Network, where she ultimately became the Sr. Director of Development, Original Series and helmed the development department for all animated and live-action series for children 6-11 years old.  Launching multiple animated shows during her tenure, Heather also oversaw the addition of live-action programming to the CN slate. 

After graduating magna cum laude with a BFA from the Filmic Writing Program at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinema-Television, Heather began her career at Hanna-Barbera Cartoons, soon after it joined the Turner Broadcasting family and Cartoon Network’s launch. She also dabbled in journalism as editor-in-chief of Animation World Network.

While waiting for the animation wheels of progress to turn, Heatheris also a creative and business consultant for a select group.
